Saw 5 Clip

Don't know for you, but for me it's like the Saw movies are becoming part of Halloween. Saw and its super-villain Jigsaw are somehow part of the tradition by now!

Here a new preview clip of Saw 5:

Jigsaw (Tobin Bell): I want to know if you have what it takes to survive.

Jigsaw is presenting a new device called "the neck tie".

Do you think playing in such a movie is safe for the actors? I mean, maybe the trap are just smoke and mirrors and aren't dangerous at all on the movie sets of Saw, but what about the actor's mental health? Especially Tobin Bell... Does he feel like being Jigsaw for real sometimes? A bit Scary when you think about it...

I'm a bit sad that the song Be Thou My Vision, which was on the first trailer, is not on the soundtrack of Saw 5. I'm quite it is because of Ginny Owens' lawyers....

For Halloween should accept no treat from them: they just deserve tricks! Maybe even Saw-esque traps?

Saw 5 Red Band Preview Clip

If you thought that death would put a halt to Jigsaw's experiments then you were wrong! Jigsaw (played by Tobin Bell) is indeed going to show us an even more twisted side! A red band preview clip of Saw V has been released and it does confirm that this fifth Saw movie will be bloody great.

Here below the Saqw 5 restricted trailer:

Difficult trading: have your hand crushed or let the razor of a swinging pendulum divide your body into two parts...

Saw V

I wonder how the scriptwriters can come up with such traps: he must be himself a bit twisted... Fortunately they prefer to apply their skills in movies instead of making Saw real!

Saw V Blood Drive Event

Lionsgate is teaming up again with the American Red Cross for the annual Saw Blood Drive in parallel of the official release of Saw 5.

Since the first event in 2004 the Saw 4 fandom has donated thousands of blood pints hence helping to save more than one hundred thousand lives!

Two special Saw 5 posters have been unveiled to promote the Saw V Blood Drive:

THIS HALLOWEEN GIVE 'Til IT HURTS

I tried to head to yahoo as indicated, but the Blood Drive site has not been updated since last year it seems (check here)... Maybe Lionsgate should have waited a bit more before publishing those posters.

Anyway, let's hope that Saw fans will be even more generous than the precedent years!
And by the way guys: the nurses in charge will be exactly like the girls on those posters, so don't miss the event!

Saw 5 First Official Teaser Trailer

The first official teaser trailer of Saw 5, the fifth opus of the Saw movie series under the direction of David Hackl, has been released:

His love is everlasting.
His gift is life.

This Halloween belongs to Saw V!

SAW 5

Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) still has a lot of tricks in his bag: the trap show in this Saw 5 trailer is horrible! A horror movie like Saw 5 will make Halloween much more interesting!

By the way the soundtrack of this Saw 5 trailer is the song Be Thou My Vision with a voice mimicking Ginny Owens' voice.

Update: looks like Ginny Owens did not appreciate the trick, and Lionsgate released a new teaser to avoid to talk longer with her lawyers:

I still prefer the female voice, but both teasers are scary!

Saw 5 in October 2008

A fifth movie has been decided for the Saw movie series. Saw 5 aims mainly at core fans: there's nothing to really justify a new Saw film...

But well, Saw films are not linear. Instead of going from present into future the plot of Saw is jumping back and forth along the time line. they jump all over the place. Characters who may have died a previous film can come back in the following one for scenes.

Besides some details still keep their mystery after the four fist movies. It may be relevant to explain thm to fans.

So fans rejoice because all this lead to Saw V, and as we said, because the plot is not linear, to the come back of Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) from the dead.

The plot of Saw 5 has not yet been revealed. But some hints here and there may help to sketch out the plot.

So far what we know about Saw 5:

- Saw V will explain what happened to Corbett, the daughter of Lynn Denlon and Jeff Reinhart, following the conclusion of Saw 3 that left her in danger. (Patrick Melton in a interview with IGN)

- The origins of Billy the puppet and his red tricycle would be further explained after having the story's roots planted in Saw 4. In an other interview Tobin Bell teased that he would not be surprised if the character of Cecil made a reappearance, and that the pieces of flesh taken from the victims in the form of a jigsaw puzzle might be explained.

- According to director David Hackl, one trap can potentially kill the actor meant to be placed in it, and so paramedics will be standing by while filming; Hackl joked that the trap would truly test the actor, just like Jigsaw tests his victims.

- In the Saw IV DVD commentary, Darren Lynn Bousman stated that the glass box trap, which was originally planned to be used - but only seen - in Saw IV, will be further explored in Saw 5.

Ok, maybe there is much more to develop in Saw 5 than I first thought!
